This field-collected wooden flute (hunters whistle)shows the traditional bulbous-shape flute used by the Mossi people in Central Burkina Faso. Flutes are used in celebrations, local factions and the shorter ones (like this one) with a lance shaped end, are used by hunters as whistles.
