Idiophone - Struck Directly - Gong played with a stick or mallet. Heat riveted wrought iron.

A double gong currency of the Yoruba people of Nigeria. The two iron bells are connected by a bent metal handle with a braided raffia wrapped around the handle. These iron forms functioned as gongs but could also have been used as currency by the Yoruba people.
