HarpTabwa Harp (large)Southeastern region of DRC (formally Zaire) Wood, string Length: 48 inches Tabwa carved harp with ancestor head carved at the end of the wooden resonator cavity, while the neck of the harp has an ancestor figure. All carved from one piece of wood. Six strings (two rows of three each) and two extended strings to the tail-like piece. An arch-shaped harp with strings feed through the skin covered resonator cavity. Artistic carving, but could be created for tourist collecting.
