This Koshare Clown (or Koyaala or Hano Clown) rattle is easily recognized with its black and white stripes painted on his horns. Clown rattles provide amusement during Kachina ceremonies, such as, the spring and summer fertility rites. With humor the Kosharis play tricks or mimics spectators as they act our absurd pantomimes.
