This is a Tikar Equestrian figurine bell. The Tikar of Cameroon (grassland) are part of the Bantu, Cameroon-Bamileke people cluster. Their primary language is Tikar - (tik). The primary religion practiced by the Tikar is ethnic religion that is deeply rooted in a peoples ethnic identity and conversion essentially equates to cultural assimilation. This mounted warrior wears a detailed wrapped headdress and is cast in bronze. It possibility served as a funerary memorial bell.
