Old turtle claw rattle used by the Turtle Clan within the Iroquois Nation in various ceremonial dances and chants. The leg is attached with sinew to an old hand carved wooden handle. Corn, pebbles, and sand were all used, depending upon what sound they wanted to create with the rattle.
