An Asmat hunting and war trumpet (called "Fu") made of bamboo with high relief carving on the exterior. The Asmat are an ethnic group residing in the Papua province of Indonesia. Previously, the "Fu" was used during tribal warfare. Today, it is used for ceremonies and feasts in the Men's House ("Yeu"). This "Fu" was collected in the mid-1900's. Rare are the three pairs of feet. It is played by buzzing the lips at the aperture on the opposite end to the feet.
