This double vertical whistle flute from the Balkan Peninsula is made from a single block of plum wood, decorated with carved geometric designs. Tuned to the key of 'C,' with scalloped recessed holes, three holes for the left hand and four for the right. The Dvojnice is a pastoral instrument commonly played by shepherds for their friends, or while tending their herds.
