This Uganda drum, called "Ngoma," was used for communication, worship and healing rituals, and twin initiation ceremonies. Its cylindro-conical shape wooden frame is completely covered in cow skin and it is possibly from the Baganda people. Provenance: Georg Steiner Collection, Munich. According to consignor collected at the end of 19th Century in Africa.
