Paris, France
Jazz Instruments

Grenadilla Wood, Silver-Plated Keys

Concerto / Leblanc / France This Leblance Clarinet was the instrument Eddie Daniels used to record: EDDIE DANIELS - THE FIVE SEASONS CD. Included with the clarinet are the Leblanc Eddie Daniels accessories, i.e. ligature, MPC and cap.

Eddie Daniels is one of America’s Legends, best –known as a jazz clarinet player, but clearly a renaissance musician as a virtuoso in both jazz and classical music. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, he began his career as a tenor saxophonist with the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra, that played Monday nights at the Village Vanguard in New York. At the age of 15, he paid $400 for a round-trip flight to Vienna to enter the International Competition for Modern Jazz, where he won first prize on saxophone. A single clarinet solo recorded with the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis orchestra, "Live at the Village Vanguard" garnered sufficient attention for him to win Downbeat Magazine's International Critics New Star on Clarinet Award. This conversion to clarinet was not new, for Eddie began clarinet at age 13 and received his Masters in Clarinet from Julliard. Winning numerous Grammy awards and nominations, Eddie Daniels revolutionized the blend of jazz and classical.
