An unusual saxophone manifestations to make its way into jazz, was this slide sax (a kind of hybrid amalgamation of the saxophone and the trombone). Snub Mosley, perhaps best know as "The Man with the Funny Little Horn," made his living as a jazz trombonist. Provenance: Dr. Paul and Ernestine Kirk, St. Louis, Missouri
